...for your evening meal?
We don't often have these threads anymore, I used to like them as they gave me some inspiration when I was stuck or fed up of the same old same old.
I've just made a gigantic vat of chilli, it's currently bubbling away in the oven.

We're having turkey meatballs, roast spuds and sweetcorn followed by Eton mess which is my fave desert. Enjoy your chilli !
Think I'll have sausage, mash and onion gravy.
Fish fingers, chips and peas.
Brother made chilli lasagne which was different.
Braised steak with portabello mushrooms in red wine, Buttered mash, onion rings and yet undecided green veg.
We're having chicken Kiev tonight. I cannot remember the last time I had one!
Cheese, onion, celery and potato pie. Nutritious, tasty and cheap because tomorrow is lamb and apricot casserole, which would be expensive if I weren't using-up frozen left-overs of various cuts. (Clearing freezer prior to moving.)
When I was a kid and asked my Mum what was for dinner I was often told 'pickled gnat's eyebrows', I'm sure there was something equally dismissive she used to get rid of me but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was.

Back to your question we'll be having a ploughmans platter style nibble, involving a seriously tasty Caerfilli :-)
Me: A ready meal.
Little Tiggs: Home made tuna pasta bake, which I portioned and froze several weeks ago.
Lager.

Just had salmon fillet and tortellini with pesto

Oh yum, I'd have any of those meals :)
So, turkey meatballs, are you doing them in a sauce? I have some turkey steaks in the freezer, didn't think of doing them as meatballs.
Pickled gnats eye brows, hmmm....
Turkey drummers, chips, beans, coleslaw
I've made Lamb Kleftiko..its in the slow cooker..having it with greek salad, and warm bread yum !Enjoy yours ethandron ...and everyone else Mrs C x
I have pulled pork which was cooked in the slow cooker with lots of herbs and spices. May have it with salad and pitta bread, and some sweet potato wedges. Probably have blueberries and yogurt as dessert, or maybe a baked apple with dates, cooked with a little drop of apple juice.
ethandron I wouldn't use the turkey steaks for meatballs as they may be too dry but here's what I sometimes do: flatten out the steaks with a rolling pin, put a little sausage meat down one side and roll up into a parcel. Brown the parcels quickly in a fry pan then put in an ovenproof casserole and add a tomato based sauce of your choice (homemade or a jar) bake in oven for about 40 mins on 180c take out, sprinkle with cheese (I use Parmesan) put back in for a couple of minutes and serve with pasta or mashed potato.
dry biscuits and ginger ale, I've got norwalk

Had to look up what lamb kleftiko is, now I'm drooling :)
We had sweet potato wedges with something in the week, had it with homemade coleslaw using lemon juice instead of dressing, really nice for a change.
That sounds a good idea, retrochic, I've some turkey steaks to use up, too.

Thanks for the idea retro.
Oh dear woofy, don't fancy yours, poor you :(
