if you had a bowel of cereal every morning for breakfast

and say a bacon sandwich for lunch and a bacon sandwich for tea

would you lose more weight than if you had no breakfast whatsoever ??

p.s the bacon sandwich is just for example, as was the bowel of cereal

so another question what is the best thing to have for breakfast ???

yogurt or fruit perhaps ?????

If you have a bowel of cereal remember to drink plenty of water to avoid compaction.
There is no real 'best' thing to eat at any time - something of every food group throughout the day, portion control and being sensible is the way to go.
I never eat breakfast and never have.

I think bodies get use to a lifestyle and adapt to it.
Every slimming club i have ever attended say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A measured amount if cereal (30g) with semi or skimmed milk. Bacon (fat removed) and poached eggs with tomatoes and/or mushrooms, or a small slice of wholemeal toast with baked beans. Yogurt and fruit is ok
I think the breakfast being the most meal of the day is a myth.
I think it`s a myth as well. If you want to eat, eat. If you don`t, then don`t. I can`t think of anything worse than eating first thing in the morning.
I love the concept of a bowel of cereal - could be an advert for Porridge.

Not sure I agree. Although I can rarely face the thought of food first thing in the morning, apparently during sleep metabolism slows right down and something to eat in the morning kick starts it again.
if everything else in your day was unchanged and you started having the cereal whereas before you had nothing at breakfast, then you'd put weight on as you're consuming more calories but burning off the same.
Blackadder...so does coffee.
I use the teaspoon of sugar in my cups of Kenyan tea to kick start my metabolism in the morning.
I've just twigged the OP, bowel of cereal. LOL.
Lol...I didn't notice that.
I wouldn't really pay heed to the Mail.

I've never eaten breakfast and I've never been fat.
yes, it's the Daily Wail that makes you fat, not breakfast. After all the Wail is full of waffles.
That's probably why the first answer from Doug at 12.51 fell on stony ground.
Depends on the person, their genetic disposition so I don't think it's a question that has a comprehensive answer to. Each to his own, breakfast means to break the fast which has occurred during eating and drinking nowt whilst asleep. If it suits you to eat then do so and think about how you spend your morning as to whether it's going to burn off the calories or not. Go with the flow is my opinion, just eat as healthily as you can 'no kerapp' food and let nature take its course.
