Do they still race to get the first supplies to London?

In the fun old days, BN was not released until midnight. Then everyone (we did it once or twice) threw a box in the back of a sports car and raced back to Calais to get the earliest ferry.

Now, it's shipped in advance, and just held in storage until midnight.

Shame, really. It was quite a jolly tradition.
I believe the RAF put the mockers on that when they transported some by Harrier jump jet!

This merits a cake from the dtc bakery - and, yes, there is a Beaujolais cake out there.

This sine isn't so easy to get these days as it used to be. The Co-op and Tesco don't sell it any more, and last year I could only find it in M+S. But I shall try again tomorrow.
For sine read wine !....I must remember to put my contact lens in as soon as I get up !

Waitrose had it last year. But most places seem to buy a small supply, and sell out quite quickly.
Well it won't be so Nouveau tomorrow.

Best Answer to OG for being observant.

There must be Waitroses in South Wales, mustn't there?

JJ...My nearest one is either Barry or Abergavenny, both 50 miles away !

Now if Lidl sold Beaujolais Nouveau ............... !

Actually, considering the high quality of the wines they do sell, it would go amiss if they did !
