Sky Plus Box Issue

Hi, wondering if anyone has come across this before?

It was fine last night when I used it but this morning there is none of the usual music playing when you are on the channel guide and every channel which is picked has a message come up:

"FOR YOUR INFORMATION

There is a technical fault with this channel
Please try later"

The information of what is on the channel and time is right at the bar at the bottom so it's obviously got the satellite signal ok.

I've tried it a few times through the morning and it still won't work, have checked the cables which are all fine. I tried the Sky site which is saying their service is fine and all their online users have been busy so not been able to chat to one of them yet.

Does anyone know what the reason might be and if there is any easy fix or if it's a Sky issue or the box might be broken and I need to phone Sky? Box is getting on a bit, think I've had it since about 2008ish but it's worked ok up to now.

Am popping out in a bit but will be back on later.

Have you tried unplugging from the mains and reconnecting...it solves many problems and lockups.

Yay, it's back now :) I did the switching off at the mains before trying it again when I got back and it's working fine now.

if in doubt with sky always reboot
When i logged onto Sky webiste earlier to access my email earlier this afternoon there was a message about current access problems to Sky TV. I didn't read it as I wasn't watching. Have a look on their site if you are still having problems

Well, one thing I have learnt is that I really need to dust behind the TV!

Ahh, thanks Factor, there wasn't anything showing when I checked early on but looks like it was some kind of service issue.
