Bought a bag of frozen butternut squash for roasting from tescos.

So it's in the oven...it's in big chunks. What am i supposed to do with it...mash it or eat as it is ?

Ive never eaten the stuff before but always wanted to try some.

If roast in chunks just eat it.
If you want mashed butternut squash:
Buy a huge butternut squash (they dont come in any other size)
Get the strongest knife you possess
cut it into chunks, and remove skin of any chunks that have any
visit A&E to repair sections of your fingers now severed
boil chunks
season

serve

Wow, thanks guys....looking forward to it shortly. I guess it's a bit like swede.
Roast it enough so that the edges are getting brown and crispy, and a bit caramelised...yum. Are you doing it in a bit of olive oil? That helps the crisping :-)
