Just seen this mentioned in another post.
I make soup 3/4 times a week, what are the advantages of using a 'soup maker' over making it in a saucepan please?

I think you will find there are two very firm camps on this subject!

I am firmly in the saucepan camp :-)
One would hope the dedicated maker could be left to do most of it itself, whilst the saucepan probably needs you fussing over it. Not that I've got around to getting one yet.
None that I can see ferlew
Saucepan camp .
Can't see the point of a gadget to make something as easy as soup.
People have been making soup for donkeys without the need for a gadget .
It's another marketing ploy to make you part with your hard earned .
But do these new gadgets cost less on electric, my cooker eats electric, are they like a slow cooker?

Just looked at them on you-tube, and I have to say I will be sticking with my saucepan. One immediate disadvantage I can see is the volume (or rather lack of it).

Not a gadget freak here either, We make bread by hand.
Make lots of soup...usually in pressure cooker.

I am TERRIFIED of pressure cookers, an aunt had a mishap with one many years ago.
