Polenta (Again)!

I was on here the other week asking where I could get polenta. Well I finally tracked some down in Waitrose in Anglesey! However it is pre-cooked. It it pre- cooked, but not like the other pre-cooked one I found which was like pre made marzipan! This is loose and sounds like bird seed when I shake the box. Is this the polenta suitable for making cake.

Thanks Humbersloop, I'm very confused by this polenta stuff. Perhaps I'll just stick to flour!!!!
I've only ever eaten it cooked as in with something "served on a bed of" and I've never felt like going back for more tbh
I would suggest that if you are baking a cake you need the fine grained polenta.You will find it in the supermarket as cornmeal.
