Garlic

Can someone please tell me how do you cook garlic ? I used to get the meanest salt and pepper chicken from our local chinese but it has now closed down(don't ask)The garlic used to be sliced and crunchy and hot so was obviously cooked but no matter what I try I can't seem to get it right.It is either raw or slimy.Please help

Toast it in a hot pan late on and then add to the chicken dish.

Wrap a few cloves in garlIc and roast
With a whole chicken. Yum!!!!

Sorry don't understand"wrap a few cloves in garlic"?? cloves , garlic. Same thing surely
Rub a a few cloves with a bit of olive oil and then wrap in tinfoil. Not too long in the oven, about 15 mts, or so.
Oooppps! Supposed to read wrap a few cloves in FOIL ;)

Slice it very thinly and fry in oil until golden (not black!) and you have little garlic crisps.
