Tinks, now and again I work my way through Jamies 30 minute Meals. He has some great recipes in there. Yes there are a lot of shortcuts, but you can make loads of it from scratch if you have the time.

I make my own quiche. Much more expensive than buying one from the shops but delicious. In the past I have made them for weddings, christenings etc.

How about pickles or chutney? You could try ice creams and sorbets.
Cake decorating, or making your own sweeties? I used to rattle off little "bounty" bars for my daughter just by mixing condensed milk with coconut, then chilling the mix in a shallow tray before cutting into squares and dipping them in chocolate. You did say to keep the answers clean, didn't you? There's all sorts of things you can do with chocolate if you think about it................... |

Mabye i should make things that keep ,..jam, pate etc. Im sure theres an app for jamies 30min isnt there?? Ever just get fed up and want to try something new!!! Xx |

Bread is a great thing to make Tinks. You can make soda bread, sourdough bread, brioche etc. Paul Hollywood has some fantastic recipes. x

If you make that recipe, use slightly less bicarb of soda. I use 1 1/2tsp bicarb xx

Beat 6oz cream cheese, 2 tablespoons dry white wine,1 teaspoon lemon juice, half teaspoon seasoned salt, 1 teaspoon grated onion, 1/8 teaspoon dried dill in a bowl. Stir in 6oz crab meat. Chill 3 to 4 hours. Serve on crackers/melba toast.
Drink remaining wine. |

amount of ingredients depends on how much pate you want to make.
in this instance ... 500gm of any meat you like (ostriche, venison, beef etc.) equal amount of chicken livers. shallow fry the meat in vegetable oil till done through . . drain and place in bowl. do the same with the chicken livers .. add to the meat. leave in fridge for several hours submerged in something to add flavour (sherry, port, whatever you fancy) drain off and dispose of the liquid. place mixed meat a few helpings at a time in blender and activate .. adding double cream as it mixes..length of blend depends on whether you want coarse or smooth. spoon out into trays or pots. refridgerate. enjoy. xx |
