French fries - can you do them on a George Forman grill?

I bought some as a treat earlier, some frozen ones you can do in the grill or oven. I'm George Forman grilling some fresh chicken thighs and mushrooms anyway and have one of the large grills so wondering if I can do the fries on it too.

Am guessing it's kind of the same as grilling them in the oven but do they taste as good that way if anyone has tried it?

No; but if you are there wondering with the grill on, worth a try and letting us know :-)
They might disintegrate - my black pudding did.

Ah sod it, nothing ventured...I will give it ago and report back...possibly quite soon and still hungry :)
Never tried Jenna ... I suppose the steak cut ones would do better than the thin ones though ... just well oil the grill.

Not bad though was worried the top plate was too close to the fries and they'd burn and a bit of a logistical issue getting them from grill to plate but taste fine. Think I'll just not be such a lazy cow and bang them on a baking try under the grill next time though :)
The grills are idiot proof - I can use one!

I am away to heat up a tin of beans and little sausages.
