Unsing Perma-Ice for fondant icing fake cakes

Good morning ABers. Has anyone out there ever iced a fake cake with fondant icing which will be kept longterm. I know that you can mimic royal icing with a product called Perma-ice but cannot find anything on the web about its uses for fondant. Many thanks in anticipation
