come dine with me menu please?

we have been doing a bit of a come dine with me evening,without all the votes and stuff with friends,its our turn next and i have no idea what to cook!we have had the stuffed chicken fillets,lasagne,curry so far,there will be 8 of us dining,one who only eats chicken (or quorn).
i am doing lucky lettuce starter,but didn't really want to carry on with chinese theme as not great at doing rice?or can rice be made earlier or is it bit dry?
is duck hard to cook?would likem something one pot(ish really)?
any suggestions???please.....!

I cook spiced duck legs in the slow cookpot and they're really nice. You don't need to do rice you can do noodles.
