stick them in a dish with a little bit of water, cover and microwave them for a few minutes.
i boil or steam them for 15 mins. then cover in butter.
take em out the freezer - sorry (its friday)
Corn cobs need to be boiled for exactly two minutes. They are not supposed to go soft - they are only supposed to get hot.
Cook for more than 2 minutes and you start to make them tough and the flavour disappears.
This was taught me by an american woman - who grew them.
about 10 minutes for me; they don't get tough. Butter and salt
Just eat the kernels. You're supposed to ignore the core! ;-)
10 mins in the steamer, kernels soft enough to bite. Add butter.
No salt in the water before boiling, the longer you boil them the tougher they'll be.
Wrap in tin-foil with lots of butter and put on the barbie..
i like them 5 to 10 mins steamed, a little salt, then on the barbie, a tad of butter and loads of black butter.

However, this is good too.....http://www.realsimple.com/food-recipe
