I bought a lemon and zested it for a cake recipe today.

Any suggestions for the remainder of the lemon?

Could you freeze the juice for another time?
Place in a Jug of boiling water and add sugar. Allow to cool then pop in the fridge for a while. Makes a lovely refreshing drink.

Natural highlighter for the hair even? Now there's an idea.

Descaling the kettle with one half is probably favourite and I might use the other half for a refreshing drink in the morning.
make some pancakes - lovely with sugar and lemon juice!
make some small cakes,make some runny ish icing up using the lemon instead of water, prick cakes with cocktail stick, pour icing on top for mini lemon drizzle cakes. :-)
sliced in a large g+t. :-)
