freezer dilemma

I've just come home to find I've left the freezer door open. Not a lot just fishfingers, sausages & burgers, healthy stuff. It's all de-frosted and I've thrown it in the fridge. Will I be able to re-freeze anything or is it ruined. I'm going to try and eat as much as I can tonight. Thanks.

If its meat and fish you are taking a chance.
If you cook the food you can freeze the cooked product, e.g. shepherd's pie or chilli con carne made with mince. I've done it with no ill effect.

hope your feeling hungry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you should have just shut the door again, would have been ok, just in a coma as opposed to a deep freeze, its happened to me loads and its always ok xx
BBQ round at yours then...
Was the stuff in the freezer cold or were the slightly cold, or warmish?
That has happened to me before and I just closed the freezer door properly. Everything turned out good. I even had ice cream in the lot and that was good too.
Kids are always leaving the freezer door open...i just shut it back up and refreeze everything even if stuff has thawed out almost completely.

No ill effects with us yet !!!!
Put it back in quickly and refreeze it rapidly. Unless it's prawns, it should be fine.
