depends on the quantity but I don't see why not.
would you do it from a post office?
would you have to fill in a declaration?

It wouldn't be much, just a few packets. I was just concerned that there may be certain agricultural regulations for approval of it into NZ.

And yes I would declare it on the form and send it from a PO

I apologise, but just WHY would you want to go to the expense of sending coffee to NZ.
Do they not have decent ground coffee there?

NZ has regulations covering import duty and restrictions on foodstuffs. But a couple of packets of coffee shouldn't be a problem, especially if marked 'gift'. It should be cheap enough to give it a try.
And in answer to Pickle, in my travels abroad I've come across many brands of goods that I dearly wish were available back here in the UK, but just aren't. Presumably a similar case with this coffee?

For a few reasons, one: my sister loves what I call "proper" coffee and its quite expensive in NZ, so I thought I would send her a couple of packets of good stuff, very cheap for me, not so cheap for her, and yes I think the coffee is better here in France than in NZ.
