Now Mr Smow likes nothing better than a 'full English' for breakfast at the weekend. In an ideal world it would consist of the following : sausages, bacon, fried egg, grilled tomatoes, black pudding, fried bread, NO baked beans, mushrooms, and toast! Mine would have NO mushrooms and NO black pudding.
So what would your ultimate full English consist of? And if you don't like that then what is your perfect breakfast?

Just anything involving good coffee in a café in Europe, preferably near the sea with the sun shining....
Sausages, bacon, fried egg, fried tomatoes, black pudding, fried bread, baked beans, mushrooms, square slice, round-slice, white pudding, fruit dumpling, tattie-scones, scrambled-egg, pancakes and a mug of 'builders'..........hold the fried banana.

I wouldn't actually be able to eat it all but seeing it on my plate would make my morning..... :o)
2 properly cooked eggs on a slice of toast with grilled square sausage and 3 mushrooms and 1 tinned tomato.
I would then eat 1/3 of it!!
Good Farmshop sausages, bacon, mushrooms, sauteed baby plum tomatoes with a few herbs added, fried bread, black pudding and eggs with a jug of good fresh coffee on the side, followed by a pot of tea.

Happy days.

My nan used to make a "hunters breakfast" when I was a child which included all of the above with beans and fried banana.
An Ulster fry. This is something like the full English but includes fried potato bread and sodas.

What on earth is a fruit dumpling??
Jack is that the same as a clootie dumpling? If so yummmm
Sausage, bacon, mushrooms and egg, maybe a hash brown if I'm in a hotel. My favourite breakfast though is cantaloupe melon, strawberries, black forest ham, lots of crushed black pepper and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Another 'favourite' is smoked haddock and scrambled egg.
Oh jack I used to make that every year for Burns night mm
Lovely French croissants, with butter.
My ultimate breakfast would be one that is served in America, from coast to coast.

Pancakes, with real Maple syrup, followed by link sausages, eggs and crispy bacon, and rye toast.
What, no laverbread, Mikey?
I'm told American bacon is nowhere near as good as ours.
All Mr. Smow suggests (fried tomatoes preferably, fry the mushrooms too) plus home made hash browns. Baked beans depends on the sauce. There's probably other things to add, but at my age my stomach probably couldn't cope with the quantity of food.
Americans cut from the belly, we have decent back bacon.
Though sadly, these days, someone's often stolen the rind :-(
Sandy you correct - American bacon is like poor version of streaky bacon.
So I have given my ultimate breakfast but my ultimate dislike is places and people that ponce up their breakfasts!!
Sausages...very high meat ones...crispy streaky bacon,** roasted cherry tomatoes, sweet potato wedges, and a round of grilled goats cheese. Weird maybe, but all my favourites. Oh, and maybe some avocado.
Coffee with double cream.
**...cut from the belly...yummmmm ;-)
