I had a cold. So, as Mummy always told me, I stocked a pile of lemons, slicing them into hot water and adding honey. Then I heard that broccoli have more vitamin C than lemons. Is this true? Now I am wondering just which fruit/vegetable 'lead' in a table of vitamin content. Any helpful -- and reliable! -- reply on this matter would be appreciated. Thank you.

For all intents and purposes, broccoli, oranges and apples are a good source of Vitamin C.
Yes, lemons also are a good source.
If you think that Vitamin C will stave off your colds, why not take tablets ?
I am not convinced of that, but just my opinion.
Loads more vitamin C in broccoli but an acquired taste with gin.
I can't see broccoli juice making you feel good in the same way lemon juice will, no matter how much honey you add. I doubt the value is simply in the amount of vitamin C the end beverage has.

D: first the gin, then the broccoli with a meal would be preferable.
