What to have with fish

Not eaten fish since I was a kid, now almost 40 and my partner has made me try it and I'm liking it.

However, I have no idea whatsoever about fish as in what to have with it except mashed potatoes and peas - would love to try something else for a change.

So far I've tried only tried cod although we do have some roe in the freezer.

There is so much you can do with fish of all sorts that I don't know where to start. I can't stand roe though!!

fish pie...mmmm make a thick white sauce, add chunks of fish (included smoked haddock if you can it helps the flavour) and top with mashed potatoe with egg mixed in. cook in the oven until the top is crispy. yum yum

If you buy the rectangular fillets you can sprinkle with herbs after cooking and then melt cheddar cheese on top.

Have you tried the peppered mackerel. It is lovely with a salad.

Pasta bake. cook the pasta, white sauce, add tuna and peppers, in a casserole and cook in oven for about half an hour. Turn oven up and sprinkle cheese onto. Return to oven until brown and bubbly (or just grill it)

i love fish but i can't eat roe1 You surprise me a fish newbie!
I like whole fish - bream, bass, trout etc, i look for them in the reduced counter. i then was and stuff with lemon slice and herbs if i've got them. wrap in foil and cook in oven for 25 mins. yum!

I love fish with medveg and salad some olives and garlic bread. Also love fish cooked with the above apart from the salad and bread, then serve with salad if you cook in a baking bag along with the med veg and med veg it makes a wonderful mix.....
