18-20 mins from frozen 7 mins from thawed
5 minutes ish.
Really Rowan?? Fresh veg doesn't take that long.

Thank you both. I'll try 20 mts from frozen.
ummmm, rowan's time is for "grandparent" veg -i.e. killed to destruction.
Steam cooks more quickly than boiling in water. It all depends on what kind of device you're using: a decent purpose-designed steamer will heat 500g in no time - 10-12 minutes. A stove-top double boiler/bamboo stack may take a little longer.

Don't want them al dente, the teeth aren't what they were
...obviously, it all depends on the size of the veg you're cooking too. Is it diced/whole/julienne, etc?
10 to 12 is what I would go with. carrots first, broccoli a couple of mins later and the peas only need 5 to 6 mins
I find it takes longer from frozen in the streamer than in a pan of boiling water TBH I normally do a quick defrost in cold water first and go for the 7 min option
They are already cooked. They just need defrosting and heating through.

If you don't like al dente, Sandy, use fresh veg.
Frozen broccoli and carrots are naff
I think only peas and sweet corn are decent from frozen
Agree Mick. They are watery.
And al dente.
My grandparents always cooked veg until they were succulent and appetizing. Not like today's practice of hard warm unappealing salad. The nonsense the 'experts' spin you in order to avoid paying the gas/electricity bill for cooking ! One can digest the nutrients better in well cooked plantlife.
I prefer veg well cooked.
Grand parent veg lol put the sprouts on on Thursday with Bicarb of soda for Sunday lunch.
