Does anyone know any quick and easy techniques for making flavoured popcorn? The only way I have ever done it is to throw in some caster sugar when the oil is nearly ready and then thrown the popcorn in on top. However sometimes the sugar burns and some of the popcorn can taste slightly bitter.

we had this exact same discussion last night - what about some melted butter with sugar in poured on top once it's popped?

Yeah, we do the butter and syrup things. But that doesn't really get a nice uniform flavouring to the popcorn which is what I'm after. When I do the caster sugar then the popcorn comes out sort of precoated with a flavour. I'm just wondering are there other techniques that can be used.

Again, that is all suggestions of things to put over popcorn once it's made. As I say, when you do that you don't really get a uniform covering of flavour on the popcorn. Some gets flavour and some doesn't.
