Cooking frozen seafood mixture

I've recently bought a bag of frozen seafood (prawns, clams, squid, etc), but the packaging doesn't contain any cooking instructions.

I've looked on-line, but can't find a definitive method of cooking, so I was hoping my fellow ABers could help me, please.

I don't want to make anything fancy - I'll probably just have the seafood with some rice and sweet chilli sauce.

So, do I boil the seafood? Fry it?

Are they already cooked? Or raw?
Here's a recipe you could try http://www.bbcgoodfoo...minute-seafood-pasta-
Oooops..........I was also going to say, it uses frozen seafood mix
And that recipe says to defrost it.

Thanks all.

ummmm - TBH, I have no idea if they're cooked or raw - I'll check later.
I buy those packs fresh and freeze them sometimes. They`re pre-cooked. I wouldn`t cook from frozen. I`d defrost it first. I lightly saute it (it only needs warming up, not cooking) in butter or olive oil with finely chopped shallots, white wine, garlic and chopped parsley and mix it with spaghetti to make a nice seafood pasta.

Thanks 237SJ.

I've just looked on the packet and all it says is "Frozen Seafood Mixture", so I'm still none-the-wiser! :o(
Are the prawns pink? If so, it`s been cooked.

Hi 237SJ - yes, I'd describe them as pink.
Have you still not used them then SurreyGuy? Be careful, they might go off :-) You could always tip them onto a nice salad.
It's cooked then.

What are you planning on making?
