Durham City (UK) Steak Nite?

Does anyone have any recommendations where u can get a good old fashioned, 'big-ass' steak in or around Durham City? I'm sick of paying 12-15 quid and getting a lump of meat no bigger than burger! I don't fancy anywhere too posh either like Ramside Hall or the County Hotel, just a good pub really! Thanks.
