Hi We are travelling to Conrwall and want to stop off about half way for some good pub grub. Does anybody know anywhere close to the M4 in the Wiltshire area? Thanks

Hi Twinkle.
You'll find at least 3 pubs within 5 minutes of Junction 15 (Swindon East). If you take this exit and, at the roundabout over the motorway, turn left you'll see a pub (can't remember the name) about 200 yards on the right. (Rumour has it that this is where the Brinks Mat robbery was planned).
If you take the exit and turn right at the roundabout, then follow the signs to Princess Margaret Hospital you'll find a second roundabout with the hospital on your left, take the first left at this roundabout and follow the dual carriageway for about a mile you'll find 2 more pubs (one called the Sun Inn) on the left. This will put you about 5 minutes from Junction 15.
Not sure on the first pub, but the second two both serve food (fairly standard pub fare as I recall) - by the way I'd recommend avoiding the local brew (Arkells) unless you want this to be a long journey punctuated by several embarressing (and somewhat painful) stops.

The Swann at Tockington, just before the Severn Bridge used to be fab when I lived in Uk about 1( years ago. A short diversion from M4/M5 but well worth it - if it's still the same.
