Edinburgh Can anyone recommend a nice place for a meal out

Going to Edinburgh later this year and would like to know if anyone can recommend a nice restaurant or pub for a meal out. Medium price and nothing thats too spicy please. Thanks

abbortsford in rose street. lots of places in this street.

cafe royal off the east end of princes street.

outside town, the steadings at hillend.

saigon saigon is very good for se asian food. very reasonable, eat as much as you like, set price for lunch, slightly dearer in the evening.

I like Le Monde Hotel and Tiger Lilly - both in George St, if you google them you should see prices. The places themselves are quite posh but menu not overpriced. This is just parallel to Rose St and as Davidhm says plenty nice places there I just don't know names.
