Stay away from actual Oxford St. The roads running off is where you'll find the best places - unless you want Pizza Hut?!?!?!
What type of food do you want? And whereabouts on Oxford St? It's a long road so a long walk may be needed if you're at one end compared to the restaurant at the other! St Christophers Place (behind H&M opposite Bond St tube station) has loads of eateries. Pizza Express, a greek restaurant, Carluccios, a lovely italian restaurant, Tootsies (a posh burger place). Wagamamas is on the back corner of Selfridges. Eagle Bar Diner (an a 'true' american style) diner is just of Oxford St on Rathbone place (further toards Tott. Court Rd). If you walk the length of Rathbone place you'll reach Charlotte st and again, loads of eateries here too. Hope this helps. Have loads more ideas, but not sure what style you're looking for. My personal fave is cafe Boheme, on Old Compton St. Enjoy, wherever you end up! |

Try Shampers - a fun restaurant and wine bar just off Carnaby Street - http://tinyurl.com/yqy36x
Or if you like Risotto, check out Ooze Risotto Bar on Goodge Street, just a few minutes walk from Oxford Street - http://tinyurl.com/yssmsw Happy eating! |

There is quite a nice Thai restaurant, called "Thai Pots" in Hanover street, which is at Oxford Circus, access on Regents Street, turn right at the big French Connection store.
The food is tasty, decor pleasant, service friendly and the prices are reasonable. |
