There are loads of places in the nearby Printworks (2 mins walk away) but it may be a bit rammed if on a friday or saturday night.
There's Old Orleans and Henry J Bean's which do lovely steaks and chicken and such.
Yum Yum's which is a lovely chinese pick your own buffet. There's also a Wagamama but can be a bit of a crush on a busy night as you're likely to be squashed on a long table and can be a bit like a cattlemarket.
Tiger Tiger do a varied menu, some lovely platters, Hard Rock Cafe, Cafe Rouge for a more continental french feel (highly recommend the steak frites with peppercorn sauce). There's also a Nando's, Norwegian Blue and Lloyds for more standard pub food and Opus for something a bit more upmarket.

Otherwise there is Exchange Square with the Wellington Pub and Oyster Bar and such, limited space though and better to sit outside which is a no go in this weather.
There is Zinc, a cafe bar opposite the Printworks by the big BBC screen. Selfridges and Harvey Nics are there for a treat, though Harvey Nics can be quite a wait. There is also a Pizza Hut in Cross Street just down the road from where the big Next is nearly under the see through walkway above the road and loads of pubs and restaurants down Deansgate which is abit further afield.
If you let me know you'r budget, how far you're willing to go and what kind of thing you're after I may be able to help more but the Printworks is a good choice :)
