Well it looks lonely in this section, so let's have some good places to eat (preferably with a link to a website/menu).

There really are some excellent places out there - please post your favourites (and if anyone fancies lunch let me know).

excellent burgers, amazing pizzas, interesting other stuff and a traditional afternoon tea with three sorts of sandwiches and two sorts of cake as well as scone/jam /cream slightly mad decor and a great beer garden
I second the recommendation for The Royal Oak!

I used to drink in The Junction many years ago (and the White Horse I seem to remember).

There is a very good fish only restaurant called "Hooked" if you are ever in Windermere.
rowan - I agree with you re the Plough at Harborne. A favourite of MIL and we often go there when we're visiting her
I know I am a bit late joining in but would like to nominate The Poachers Pocket, Doulting, Somerset, BA4 4PY. They do not appear to have a website but are worth a visit if you are in the area.
