fillet steak

i live in maldon essesx ( between chelmsford and colchester ) does anyone know where i can get a nice cooked fillet steak? or even a rump or sirloin. the last one i got in the harvester was like rubber. thanks for any re[plys

I always think steak is overrated. 20+ quid for a lump of meat, a few chips, a mushroom and tomato.

OH, and if you don't mind travelling out a little further, The Swan in Bradwell (near Braintree, not Bradwell on sea) has just become a rare breed meat steak house, I've not been there myself yet but a couple of friends have and they've said it's really good (I'm planning to try it out soon)

Errrm the jack & Jenny in Witham used to good too, but I think That's closed down now.
