Officially 1 bottle of wine a day is over the recommended limits for both males and females, however, red wine is better for you than white and if you drink a bottle, let's say between 5pm and 11pm, then I can't see a problem. I do! JD

I’m with JD on this one. Drinking red wine is one of my main pleasures, and I drink at least a bottle a day, but over a period of 6 hours or so. I couldn’t drink a bottle in an hour, though!

Small amounts of alcohol over a prolonged time period is much better than abstaining during the week and then necking 6 pints of beer, followed by vodka on a Friday night.
It is a good idea to have at least 2 alcohol free nights per week to give your liver a rest though.
Its fairly commonplace for couples to share a bottle of wine pretty much every day of the week after work. Drinking at home seems to be taking over the pub scene.
