I have just got a Krups Nescafe Dolce Gusto Piccolo Kp1006 Coffee Machine and wondered if I could use another make of pods in this machine?

According to this thread, you're stuck with spending a lot of money on the proper Nescafe pods:

Even this supplier (which specialises in offering compatible pods for various coffee machines) can't currently do better than saying 'Coming soon' (which might mean 'next week' but probably means 'never'):
