Beer of the week?

http://www.ringwoodbr...beers/beer.aspx?bid=3

Old Thumper by Ringwood brewery a bit strong for some folk at 5.6 ABV but a wonderfully rounded flavour with real depth and somehow just right as we slide towards Autumn.

There is a tang that is quite 'apple-y' but it is in no way like cider its a proper ale. Worth checking your local free houses and if they ever get it on pump guzzle some you will be a happy Ab'er

I second that !
Good Beer makes an Aber happy :-))
We have a pub locally that sells Old Thumper branded under the name 'No Name Ale' even though the landlord is a bit coy about what it actually is I am reliably informed by beer buffs that is it Old Thumper.

That and 49er are fairly available round here in bottles at supermarkets. 49er is quite popular on the pump, Old Thumper a bit harder to obtain.
