I prefer the interior of Cafe Nero but I definitely prefer the coffee in Starbucks so I almost always go there (which is only about once every two months)

Living in the sticks, we don't have any such chains.
The tea in the local greasy spoon is OK I guess |

Starbucks coffee is disgusting. Their tea is all right though. (Yes I know what my username is).

apostasy, Starbuckone! I prefer Starbucks to the other two, whose coffee can be a bit over roasted.
I buy Costco's House Blend beans, which are supplied by Starbucks (with the Melusine logo on the bag) and grind my own. So my own kitchen is where I get the best coffee! |

Incidentally, the Melusine logo has an interesting history.
Do you think the public would accept the rather rude looking original version? http:// |

On principle I refuse to pay the same price for a single cup of coffee as I would for a jar which would last me a month.

Want to know something really exciting? My little company does all the ventilation in Starbucks and Caffe Nero's. There's something for you to get excited a out next time you pop in for a latte.
I wouldn't use either. I prefer places where they actually boil the water. |

As per the Rev Venator - my £250 La Pavoni espresso machine seemed like a huge extravagance, but gets used every day and produces brilliant coffee at around 10p a cup from Pitti Caffe beans.
So saving me £2 (at least) per working day ... that's £400 per year and it's already 6 years old and still going strong ... |
|
Anywhere but Costa or Starbucks, my local ones are scruffy and dirty.

Sounds good sunny-dave - all we have is a Dualit percolator (£60 odd, I think) and one of those hexagonal hand cranked Italian grinders.
I'm short of Chrissie present ideas, having few earthly desires, but an espresso machine is a good one - thanks! |

I did spell "Caffe Nero" correctly.

Nowhere at all, I can't understand this passion for drinking coffee away from the house, or carrying it about with you.

What do you do with your left hand if you're not holding a take away coffee??
|

like yourself ayrton, i'll go to the nearest outlet, whatever that is, if i want one. sometimes it has been a starbucks or a costa-coffee, other times it has been a greggs, occasionally it has been an independant cafe |
