Can anyone help. Tried to get some tippex thinners today, to remove some tippex from my childs blazer and was told it has been removed from the market as children sniff it. Yuk

Where does that leave me? Can anyone help with suggestions of how I can remove it, the blazer is black by the way, any help appreciated.

Tippex remover is supposedly acetone so therefore nail varnish remover should work - best try this on a patch of the blazer that you can't see first though!

many thanks will try this.

You should find that isopropyl alcohol will do the trick. This is the stuff that you get in those small bottles for cleaning CDs and vinyl records. You can also get it in a larger spray bottle from a company called Covers33, who have a mail order site for all manner of record accessories. You can find this at... http://covers33.co.uk/index.php/accessories/vinyl-solution-record-cleaning-spray-sold-individualy
