but can you believe this?? What herb will they use if one of kids got meningitis, god forbid.

They've even set up a Just Giving page for folk to donate money to them!
Unbelievable.

Why would anyone carry a placenta around in a bag?
Because it is so messy to carry it around in your hand.
:))
The original was posted but centred more about the leaking nappy incident during the TV interview.

'Off grid' parenting is fine until as you say something major goes wrong - I wish them well but won't be donating to their travel fund.

The Lotus birth (or umbilical nonseverance) is more common than we think.

Each to their own.
You know it's their choice and should anything happen they will have to live with it.
"Why would anyone carry a placenta around in a bag?"

Well I suppose because the 5p charge for a placenta bag is hardly prohibitive.
:)))
we all understand that we lived like this for thousands of years don't we?
No. Randy, we didnt have plastic bags !!!
:))))
I think scorpiojo is having a giggling fit.
Yep :)
Not sure I'm grasping the obsession with the bag it's kept in - just me being slow probably.
We also dumped our waste in a collective midden and went round the back of our mud hut to evacuate our bowel and yet we've managed to improve on that stuff too Randolph.
It's progress.
Sorry, my fault for mentioning it
No, not at all, I rather doubt 'off gridders' would stoop to use a supermarket carrier bag, rather weave one and decorate accordingly.

Or there are plenty on E Bay.
LOL...LOL
Jo. Have you been at the sherry ? :-)
I wouldn't be surprised that very soon a large group of these "off-gridders" will flock together and do something which has never been heard of before: Live together as one large happy, self-sustained family in something called a commune.
I suppose for placenta portability a 'bag for life' would be better.

Much more womby.
