So I have had a crush on this girl for awhile and was working up the courage to ask her out but I have received information that she is related to me I would like to know how close or far she is to me so I can ether ask her out or completely drop it which is disappointing to me so the information I got is this when I was talking to her on Facebook.. (Yeah, your aunt is my pepere's niece).. so can anyone clear things up for me

You might not be blood-related at all. If you are, it's equivalent to your mum or dad being a grandchild of pepere, in which case the person would have said so. You might be related by marriage somewhere along the line, but if not you are 3rd cousins once removed, so nothing to worry about.

thanks for the answers guys now i just gotta try to come up with a message to send her thats not gonna make me look like a big creep while trying to explain why like her. and in-case your wondering i am doing it in a message as she is a very shy girl and I would think approaching her in public would yield bad results with this and i would also get very nervous and not be able to explain myself correctly
