Monday. The sun is coming up. The washing can go on the line. wonderful!

We had dinner indoors yesterday. It looked clear, so I thought I'd set up outside. I'd put the table in place about 8 feet from the kitchen door. It started to rain, by the time I'd covered that 8 feet I was soaked. Saying something uncomplimentary about the weather gods, I dried off and got changed. However we had a great evening and much quality control was undertaken, (I know, but it has to be done doesn't it!)

They went home at about 11 after helping me to clear up.

Today I have a friend coming up from Weston-super-Mare. It should be fun as she's as mad as a box of frogs! She's been a good friend for many years.

Quite a racket from the badger population this morning. I got close enough to see that a punch up was going on, i don't know what it was about, but but neither of them was giving any quarter. It went on for some time until they were both too knackered to carry on I think. Both had some serious looking injuries. I hope they get over it.

Foxy was waiting behind the shed as I was a bit late putting supper out. As soon as I shut the door he was on it like a missile. About 20 minutes later tiggy was in for his.

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning boarty xx
*** rain eh? At least you still had a lovely time.
Good old animal kingdom . I've never seen a live badger. I've only ever seen dead ones at the side of the road. Very sad.
How is foxy these days? still looking bedraggled?
Just another quick visit. I'm off out now for a 5 mile tramp across the Downs. (The tramp doesn't seem to mind!!)
Morning to all when you eventually surface.
Have a lovely day folks.

Morning jan xxx Foxy is still looking like his brush has lost it's bristles. I think it will take until next year to sort itself out.

The badgers are usually a delight to watch, they can be amusing with their antics. What the scrap was about I know not, but it was serious stuff.

How's you this morning? :o}
Morning all
It's a lovely morning here too which is just as well as I'm back to work today after a week off
Slept through from 10.30 last night - first time in a long time that's happened
I usually wake about 2 ish for a couple of hours
Seems I might have broken that pattern
Bought a new settee from eBay yesterday !
Hope it's ok - it says it's new!

Morning peas xxx and beej.

peas, try feeding the hound! :o} It does that because it's bored on it's own.

Some beautiful scenery in Yorkshire beej. I haven't been there for many years. I don't suppose the scenery has changed! :o}
bout ye , peas ?
I work in the theatre - not as glamorous as it sounds - but it pays the bills
Yo Beej :o) All good ta, you? xx

Boaty, hound has been brought up with cuddly toys to play with - big mistake on our part - now he thinks the sofa is a big cuddly toy! Ah, well you live and learn... xx
Question Author
I should think it can be interesting ric. As you say, it pays the bills. It takes lot of time and a lot of work to run a theatre. :o}
Question Author
That there hound sounds like a right nutter peas. Better than vicious though. Cover the new settee with chainmail. That'll fix him/her. :o}

"...That there hound sounds like a right nutter..." - yep, he fits right in with this house lol. He's very serene really, just likes to investigate everything.
Glad your dinner went well Boaty.

Ric, do you get to see any of the shows for free?

Air show was great yesterday, got a lovely bit of sunburn even though it was cloudy, Vulcan was beautiful and there was a Swiss F-18 that made us all go deaf for a while lol
