Here's the thing, I am actually looking for an explanation rather than the answer so please bear with me...

I have recently been given a Dive leader test paper as I have recently joined a dive club.

The question I am stuck on is about diving at altitude and using the BSAC 88 tables.

'you are with a trainee Ocean Diver using BSAC 88 tables in 18, deep inland quarry, 120 m above sea level. the breathing gas is air, the regional atmospheric pressure is 990mb. the first dive was to 18m with a dive time of 30 mins, work out the surface interval required for a second dive to 15m for 30 mins.

I have the tables and can understand that the atmosphere and altitude will have to be taken into account, but don't have any way of working this out..

please help...
