I work in the book section of our local Asda - and every single copy of Harper Lee's new book Go Set a Watchman has had to be taken from the shelves because of several printing errors. I'm thinking it will be country wide - so if you have a copy of this book, go to page 252 (no need to read the page) and if the number 252 is missing from the bottom of the page you have one of the faulty copies. There are several separate sections missing as well.

It is a false economy for the publishers to think they can do without proper proof-reading. Spell-checkers and grammar-checkers are no substitute.

I can never understand why these mistakes occur, you would think that someone would do a random check of the batch.

I hope that they manage to sort it out soon.

:-)
Ouch! There were several people phoning in to radio 2 last week to say that they had been sent copies a few days before it was supposed to be released.

But think how much these copies will be worth in a few years time :)

They will end up being worth more because of the fault. I would have snagged one LyndaB before they were taken off shelf.
they are actually not worth anything if there are thousands of them.
