Scared of losing

I've just found out I am 6 weeks pregnant but last year I miscarried at around 5 and a half weeks. Now im so scared of the same happening again. I check everytime I visit the bathroom, i'm worried about every little niggle, scared to sneeze, scared to fasten my trousers too tight. I'll be the first to admit it sounds silly but I cant help it. Has anyone else had a similar experience? TIA

doesnt sound silly and having had mates who have gone through the same it doesnt get any easier and you dont really forget. You may start feeling bit different at first scan.
yes, i know exactly how you feel. After my daughter was stillborn, during my next pregnancy i used to be knicker checking every 5 minutes, and always thought i could feel bleeding, even though i wasn't. the only way i could get through it was to think that worrying will not change the outcome, and will only serve to make what should be an exciting time, miserable. Easy to say though!
Yes. I've had 3 miscarriages. The last pregnancy I had to have the baby removed at 14 weeks. The thought of going through it again fills me with dread.

Best of luck winging its way to you. Can imagine your worry. RELAX. Get yourself so involved in something else to take your mind away from worrying.

Many thanks for your kind words. I feel a little less worried as Im now getting a few symptoms which I didnt before and everyday is a step further. Its comforting to know that others that have been in this situation all had the same worries.
Try and make a positive attempt to relax, deep breathing, happy thoughts etc etc - you owe it to this little one developing in your womb to be relaxed and calm. I too worried a lot in early pregnancy with my son (for different reasons) and he was born with ADHD. Apparently it is thought (though not proven) that this can be linked to stress of the mother while infant is developing in the womb.
Know what you feel like, I had two miscarriages before I had my daughter and then a few years later had to have a hysterectomy while carrying my last baby. Try to relax and treat every day as normal, at the same time take care of yourself, eat sensibly and rest.
Although it is easy to say, do try not to worry, whatever will be will be. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, hopefully you will be lucky this time. Worrying will mot make any difference to the outcome! Fingers crossed for you.
