i know i should trust doctors but .. any experiences?

hi, i am 30 weeks pg. For the last week i hAVe had brown spotting on a daily basis. I contacted the hospital and was admitted for 4 days with twice daily monitoring of the baby (which was fine, growing well, kicking well etc) Doctors said "brown spotting is not too worrying as it's old blood" but it doesn't stop me worrying of course!
Anyone else had spotting in the latter stages of pregnancy?
they said my cervix was closed and couldn't see where it was coming from.
I am also on tinzaparin (treatment dose) and aspirin 75 mg
Anyway, anyone have any experiences etc?

Yes, I had brown spotting and also bright red spotting - they never did get to the bottom of it and baby was fine. The only difference was when I gave birth the placenta didn't come away naturally so had to have it removed surgically. I did wonder if the two were related in any way. Oh, and I was 43 years old!!!
