A splash of colour

Morning all, I know ive put this in the wrong section, but I need some quick answers as im going shopping in just a little while!!!

I decorated my room recently in beiges and browns, but to be honest it looks a bit dull and boring, I want to get some accessories for it but dont know what colour to use...any ideas?

Duck egg blue seems to be popular just now although I have just bought curtains for my sons flat ( similarly decorated in browns ans beiges) and they have a cream background with chocolate and coral motif.

not orange, this can date quite quickly. Although if accessories they can always be changed,. I'd go for greens/blues, even yellow
