I cannot knit but I could crotchet. I want to learn how to knit so when I get old and sitting on the rocker looking out the window, I'll have something to do. I have to make time and effort to learn how to.

Crocheting is quite easy. The biggest hurdle is to be able to hold the needle and thread properly and comfortably. If you are able to do that, then you will be crocheting in no time.
Legend, maybe you should try knitting a kilt. Can you imagine how warm you'll be ... even hot. ;-)
