tonsil disclaimer...

did you know..... who ever has tonsils out have to be asked to sign a consent form for them to be tested for mad cow disease..........i nearly fell off the chair laughing when the doctor asked me if i minded my sons tonsils be tested for cjd... apparently its a government thing to test for it......how bizarre........lol

Some people don't need to have their tonsils tested for madcows disease. It sort of already sticks out a mile. :-)

its one of the few ways they can test for the disease as it is residual in tissue and tonsils are perfect environment for the disorder. plus, they probably want to know how many people they infected with crappy school and hospital dinners in the 80s and 90s!!! most diagnoses on the living with cjd involve scans and diagnosis by exclusion - is the same for some other types of dementia too.
