I always assumed (naively?) that all escort work was non sexual and that if sex occured it was because it was mutually consented between the client and the girl- or in your case man.
Afterall, if a company advertised it's escorts as promising sex- that would be illegal.

All the agencies say that, yeah, it's just wining and dining, anything that happens between etc, I don't think the law can get them on that. Some online escort agency just got busted for being a front for prostitution. The law on it is a bit crazy. You can be a prostitute, but you can't run a brothel, and you can't solicit.
I find the idea of some dude hiring a #1000/night escort, having dinner with her, suggesting sex, and her turning him down cos 'it's only their first date' pretty amusing.
Prostitution, the whole idea of it makes me a bit sick. I think you would lose a bit of yourself to the event, would be harder to keep sex in its rightful place again. Also, there's the 'I cannot find someone to have sex with me, so I must pay you to do it, pretend that we're lovers' bit.

On a more serious note....what kind of people use these services? I cant imagine paying ANYONE to be my "pretend" friend for the night. It does seem a bit sad.

Some professional turn up at work functions etc with their 'friend' on their arm to make them seem attractive, normal or straight. O I once went to a Christmas do with my ex and his boss turned up with a lovely lady.She was charming -really good company and no-one had any reason to suspect it wasnt Kennys g/f.
He simply didnt want to be a gooseberry -blees -he came clean months later and not one person slagged him off or bereted him
So yip -paying for a friend for an evening is a good thing IMO-thre can be a difference.
