What do you call the Police?
I just wondered as these lads on the bus referred to them as Rozzers! I've never heard them being called that before.

I've heard the word Rozzers but isn't that a northern slang for police?

lol bigmamma, me too!!! Its a kind of funny name to call them 'Rozzers' -Old Bill, The Filth, The Fuzz, I've heard of but not this one.

Um, don't really know why but when I was growing up they were called "The Hornies".... *hmmm*
Not sure if it is an odd slang derivative from their sirens, or a suggestion of their sexual desires!
As mamma says, I call them the Police.

"Bizzies" is the common term for the police here in the north west.
|

I call them the police too, or if im with Mini Boo and we see one...Mr Policeman or Policelady.

The Fuzz is my favorite word.
Why they are called that I don't know but I can never keep a straight face when I hear it.

Did here some one from up north call them something strange, I just can't remeber what it was.

My students refer to the as Po-Po. (long o sound) and 5-0 as in the old show Hawaii 5-0. Also people say 'pigs' too.

I call them the filth, its not because I have any bad feelings toward them, its just a funny name :D
I have to be careful though, somethimes I let it slip, when I had a car accident I almost told the woman that the filth were on the way instead of police
