What do you call the Police?

I just wondered as these lads on the bus referred to them as Rozzers! I've never heard them being called that before.

I call them the Rozzers too. I am lead to believe that when Robert Peel set up the Bow Street Runners which gave us bobbies and peelers, that the idea came from the night watches that happened in Venice suggested by Count Rosseratario ( sp ) or the like ... hence the Rossers.

The Bizzies is a Liverpool term. I've not heard it anywhere else.

Not ever. Well not strictly true. I was once but I can't say what for. It was all just a misunderstanding.
I hope I never do cos I'm worried I want be able to keep a straight face.

SJ that made me laugh so much, I havent heard that name for them in years although I used to hear it a lot from folk from Merseyside.

We call them The Police or OH MY GOD DONT ANSWER THE DOOR ! lol.
