I am really pleased to read that you all get up and make your loved ones packed lunches. I used to go out with a Farmer Boy from Cornwall (aged 36) and his Mum used to get up at 04.30 to make his breakfast for him, endless cups of coffee, toast etc and then do his lunch for him. They would then sit by their AGA, all warm and cosy, drink coffeee and chat for half an hour or so. I thought this was a little absurd for a while until I realised that because this dear lady was retired and lived out in the sticks it actually gave her a purpose (and they are very close too). I also realised that once a Mum ALWAYS a Mum, no matter what age. Even me now, aged 40, I still need my Mum whilst I am not well. I hope my little girl will always need me too !

So well done to you all for being fantastic Mums

Mirela ............. thankyou.

And of course Gravy is your BABY if he is your Boyfriend.

I am sorry that you can only speak to your Mum on the phone, you must miss her terribly. I hope too that you can visit her this year, and make it for a few weeks too to get that TLC that we all need from our Mums.

When you have your baby, would she be able to come to the UK for a few months to look after you and baby (and gravy too?) How nice would that be. My friend, who is from Brazil has 3 children and each time she had a baby, her Mum or sister would come over to the UK for at least 6 - 12 months to look after and help them.

When I had my daughter, I was up in Aberdeen and my Mum in Blackpool. I knew the day that I was going to have my baby as I was induced. She was thus able to come up for 2 weeks. She was able to be my birthing partner as I had left my husband and was able to stay at the hospital with me for the week following the birth. When I got home she was able to stay the other week before having to go home (I was petrified the day she left lol!). She was back however within 5 days for my graduation. 2 years later, I returned to Blackpool to be near to them (wish I had done it sooner though) and now Tilly is nearly 11 I have been on a permanent holiday ever since with their love and support.

We live around the corner from each other which is great, she is always sending round cooked chickens, vegetables from their friends allottments, giving me lifts and so on.

Oh I do feel for you but hope you CAN visit your Mum this year.

Lots of Love.

Hi Mirela (sorry to keep butting into your thread here Mamma). Yes, I am still seeing the Italian Man Daniel (it is pronounced different in italiano but I cant pronounce it! He is working away at the moment too but I hope to see him this weekend.

Yes, I am going to work today, I dont usually work on Fridays but with it being Bank Holiday last Monday the pressure is on for appointments next week so I am going to have to make an appearance.

I am just going to try and put my bins out as it is bin day today and we dont have wheelies at the moment (thank goodness), then run a bath for Tilly, get her ready for school, she has SATS practice today and has all week, bless her! I have a home appointment with my Life Coach at 9.00 a.m. and then I am going to wait for the Central Heating Man to come as ours is broken. I have also booked a cleaner from a cleaning agency from 10.30 but I dont know if she will turn up as she didnt phone me last night. I am not lazy and my house is tidy but with my back the way it is, I have no chance of getting on ladders and cleaning my bathroom tiles aaarrrggghhh ! THEN........... I am going to work !

How did you like Ireland. I LOVE IRELAND.

Love Katie.
x

P.S. I am just going to put my bins out back permitting and keep off her for 5 or so minutes before I get chucked off for overposting. lol !
