I am owed aprox $1000 Australian Dollars.  I can either have this paid directly in to my bank account, for which the company will charge a 20 fee, or they can send me a cheque (made out in dollars).  Would I incurr a fee for paying this cheque in to my account (Barclays)?  Which option would you go for?

Thanks x

Barclays will charge you for converting the cheque into sterling and then you can't be sure that the cheque has definately cleared for a few weeks.

Check with Barclays to see what they would charge but I think the better option would be to have the funds transferred directly into your account.
