Presumably you'd like to know so you can try and negotiate with the new owner of the debt.
Such information is naturally going to be highly confidential about the two companies but you can be sure that debts are classified into risk bands, so 'pain in the arris' hardcore debtors will be worth less in transfer value to a debt collection company then those who have merely temporarily fallen on hard times.

I doubt they would do a cut price deal for you, on principle. If they are seen to give way lots more debtors would try this as a way of reducing their debt.

You might find my story about dealings with MBNA of interest. I posted it under "Law" on 13/02/09, entitled "We Won"!!!!

They really tried it on and as you can see, the judge did not think highly of these bully boy tactics employed by the Debt Collection Agency to collect a further 7000.00 when I had proof that we had paid MBNA over 11,000.00 for a debt of 8,000.00.

I'm sorry but I don't know how to post this as a link. Hope you find it interesting.
